We are proud to be a partner of Who Dares Works, a partnership of organisations working together to help individuals in West Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to reconnect with education, training and employment.
Who Dares Works is led by Active Plus and funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund. The project is due to finish in December 2022.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
At the heart of the project is the Active Plus course which is typically where the participant starts on the project. The course has been designed to build confidence, motivation and self-belief to enable participants to move forward with their lives. Alongside attending the course, participants will work with their mentor to determine their long term goal(s) and achieve them by tapping into a range of specialist support and a host of work-related activities delivered by the project partners; from volunteering to community projects, taster days to work experience and everything in between.
To be eligible for the project, participants must be 18 or over, living in West Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly and be unemployed*.
*There may be scope to take on individuals from outside of the West Cornwall & Isles of Scilly area. If you are interested and living outside of the area, please get in touch and we will talk through your circumstances.
