The CHAOS Group works with vulnerable people, delivering employability skills, engaging them in meaningful activities and supporting them to access employment in their communities.

The group is made up of six different house brands; Café CHAOS, CHAOS Farm, Iconic Hair and Beauty, GreenSouls, CHAOS Creative and Stayathome Cornwall. Each offer different opportunities to the public and private clients with their own team and their own aims. However, they all fall under the CHAOS umbrella, sharing the same vision and goals.

As the Creative Provision Lead for CHAOS Creative, you will be responsible for delivering our creative media learning program as well as providing additional and often one on one support to clients and service users – under the guidance of our senior management team.

You will be expected to work confidently and independently as well as part of a team. Working closely with a variety of clients, from a range of backgrounds, you will be on hand to help participants learn and develop their creative media skills through film, photography, radio (yes, we have our own radio station!) social media, design and creative writing.

This job is widely varied, and you’ll need to be able to turn your hand to a multitude of tasks, including;

  • Leading individuals and small groups through a 16-week creative programme
  • Supporting clients to achieve their creative goals through skill sharing and guidance
  • Developing, creating and showcasing digital content for social media and the web including; film, audio, photography, design and web development.

This is a part time role, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 9am and 5pm.

While most creative roles are office based, you won’t be tied to your desk all the time. Our creative hub is based in the heart of Café CHAOS in Truro – boasting its very own online radio station, professional camera equipment and outdoor production hardware and software, you’ll have all the resources available to help our clients create and learn expert digital media skills – driven by their own.

The right candidate will be expected to help us continue to deliver this tried and tested way of skill sharing, using our creative and alternative approach.
The right person for this role will have plenty of energy, good language and communication skills, have a supportive care back ground and a zest for creativity as well as a strong passion of digital, creative media and the desire to develop others. These will also play in your favour if you have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • A firm understanding of the various social media channels
  • A good level of experience in photography and design skills
  • A good level of experience in film making and editing skills
  • A keen interest in radio, podcasting and audio production
  • The ability to multi task
  • A positive and enthusiastic personality, with a can-do attitude
  • Can work under pressure to tight deadlines

Rate of Pay: £9.00ph (22.5 hours a week)
