RATE OF PAY: £9 PH (37.5 HOURS)

CLOSING DATE: FRIDAY 7th JUNE 2019

About the opportunity
To successfully fulfil this role, you will need to be an experienced support worker, with a passion and knowledge of food with experience or passion to take this into the hospitality industry and lead a cafe provision – holding or training for your level three food and hygiene certificate and showing the ability to manage mandatory requirements set by environmental health to ensure we secure our awarded 5 star food and hygiene standards. You must be passionate about motivating the future. You will be running a co-produced kitchen, coaching and mentoring a diverse group of people at the kitchens helm through each service. You will empower them with skills and abilities that will enhance their day to day lives whilst equipping them with industry standard experience and preparation for future employment. Servicing uncompromising food, which is both delicious, seasonal and sustainable.

Main Responsibilities

In your role as Cafe CHAOS Support Worker, you will work with the volunteers to…

  • Prepare and serve food items and beverages
  • Cooking and baking
  • Monitor and record hot and cold food temperature levels.
  • Handle cash and credit card payments.
  • Ensure security of monies and completion of cashing –up duties.
  • Assist with ordering stock.
  • Ensure food safety and food hygiene at all times.
  • Work within a team
  • Engaging with the community
  • Supervising volunteers
  • Delivery of excellent customer service
  • Maintaining mandatory records up to date – Safe food Better Business Pack, In house mandatory paperwork

Skills and qualification

  • Able to engage with a diverse group of people.

  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and breaking down barriers and stigmas.
  • Experience in a supervisory role
  • Experience in the catering industry
  • Level Three Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Experience and knowledge completing mandatory paperwork for Environmental Health Inspections.
  • Experience of Coaching and Mentoring on the frontline – or the passion and commitment to train in this area
